Who is Starburst?

The Starburst Band is a family band started by Cleaton Sayler back in the 70's. Cleaton and his sons, Curt and Clarence have been playing a variety of dance music  in and around North Dakota ever since. From old time waltzes and polkas, classic country, country rock and 50's and 60's music, the band has entertained at dances for clubs, weddings​, anniversaries and parties.

Cleaton Sayler, Dad, is the accordion player and leader of the group. He plays a midi accordion and sings many of the older songs the dancers enjoy. Curt Sayler is his oldest son. He plays drums and sings, and sometimes picks up the guitar to play and sing a few Charlie Pride songs. Clarence Sayler is Cleaton's second oldest son who plays lead guitar and also sings. Originally the drummer with Cleaton's first band, "The Cleaton Sayler Band," Clarence sometimes switches instruments with Curt, especially when "Wipe Out" is requested!
